City Net is a privately owned airline company based in the UK operating in regional airports with tailor-made flight units.
Project Title: Network Installation & Helpdesk Support for all units across the UK
Project Scope: City Net required a network infrastructure to be set up across multiple sites ensuring that their bespoke systems were available and accessible 365 days a year.
Heavily reliant on IT communications for their core business, City Net required a robust solution in order to operate to optimum efficiency, requiring thorough helpdesk support to assist with all of their IT issues.
Five Rivers Solution
Five Rivers reviewed the City Net structure and put together a proposal on the changes required and the work that would be involved to implement the robust solution being proposed. In order to implement the new IT infrastructure, an overhaul of systems would be required at each site and all with the minimum amount of disruption to City Net operations.
The new structure would allow staff from various units to access their mail and documents from anywhere at anytime remotely and securely.
Following the implementation of new systems, it was envisaged that City Net would definitely require helpdesk support, over 12 hours per day at a minimum due to the expansion in operations.
Five Rivers proposal offered this support with acceptable SLA’s and thus gained City Net’s commitment to completely outsource their IT department to Five Rivers.
