Progress are an independent agency, specialising in looking after children & young people, whom are unable to live at home.

Project Title: Installation & Maintainance of IT Network and Asset Management Solution

Project Scope: With locations dispersed around the UK, the vision for Progress Services was to set up an IT infrastructure linking each site to optimise communications and consequently maintain operational effectiveness.

An asset management solution was also required to ensure all IT Hardware & Software were centrally stored and sustained.

Fiverivers Solution

The concept of a Terminal Server Solution was tested and subsequently deployed allowing Progress to see their vision.

The new system allows allocated staff to access files/documents from a central location ensuring that the sensitive data is protected via the high security protocols implemented on the Fiverivers network.

An audit was carried out at each site and all hardware was asset tagged and software licenses were recorded into an Asset Management system.

A 9-5 helpdesk solution tailored around Service levels pre agreed with Progress have also been put in place allowing Progress Services to remain a leading provider of fostering and residential services, whilst leaving the IT to the experts.
